Note the evidence:
- New album called 'Monotheist'
- One track on the album called 'Ein Elohim'
- Another track called 'Synagoga Satanae'
- Erm..that's about it.

Are Celtic Frost Yidden?
Note the evidence:
Apparently NAFTHE has approved a boycott of Israeli academia.
Depressing - and horrific for leftist anti-boycott academics such as myself.
Clearly this letter I signed, along with over 600 others, had no effect. But when do such letters ever work?
Hopefully organisations such as Engage and Faculty for Israeli-Palestinian Peace will be effective in fighting this without the whole thing turning into a slanging match.
To balance out my Lordi-mania, here's a critical post from Israellycool . Look at the comments - apparently Israel's failure in the contest is due to anti-Semitism, rather than the song being dull as dishwater:

Something I should have heard about before: It's All Lies a cool site featuring archives from the Israeli anarcho-punk scene, including music by bands such as Deir Yassin.
I'll be on BBC Five Live Breakfast tomorrow at 8:15 and on BBC Radio Ulster talking (post-Lordi) about the resurgence of metal
There's an interview with me talking about Matisyahu and Jewish music on the BBC World Service's show Reporting Religion.
As far as I was concerened, the surprise package of last night's Eurovision semi-final was the Lithuanian entry LTD United. Performed by 5 men in suits (a Lithuanian supergroup apparently) it's called - absolutely hilariously - 'We are the winners'. They are of course very unlikley to actually win but LT United are a breath of fresh air. Lyrics here:
We are the winners
We are, we are!
We are the winners
We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
So, you gotta vote,
Vote, vote for the winners
Vote, vote, vote for the winners
We are the winners of Eurovision
(de Vilnius city a Paris)
(LT United ici)
We are the winners of Eurovision
(chantons la meme chanson)
('cos we got it goin' on)
Everyday you hear us on the radio
(that's right)
And everyday you see us on the news
(yeah)
It doesn't matter in mono or in stereo
(it's better in stereo)
'cos we are here to represent the truth that
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
Go baby!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are the winners of Eurovision
You gotta vote, vote, vote for the winners
Vote, vote, vote for the winners
'coz we are the winners of Eurovision
Vote!
Rejoice rejoice! Lordi made it through to the final of Eurovison last night with a stunning performance of 'Rock and Roll Hallelujah'. I actually think they might have a chance of winning - the hidden European Metal army will rise up!
Anyway, here are the lyrics. Surprisinly appropriate for this site I feel:
Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah! The saints are crippled
On this sinners’ night
Lost are the lambs with no guiding lightThe walls come down like thunder
The rocks about to roll
It’s the Arockalypse
Now bare your soulAll we need is lightning
With power and might
Striking down the prophets of false
As the moon is rising
Give us the sign
Now let us rise up in aweRock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
In God’s creation supernatural highThe true believers
Thou shall be saved
Brothers and sisters keep strong in the faith
On the day of Rockoning
It’s who dares, wins
You will see the jokers soon’ll be the new kingsAll we need is lightning
With power and might
Striking down the prophets of false
As the moon is rising
Give us the sign
Now let us rise up in aweRock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
In God’s creation supernatural highWings on my back
I got horns on my head
My fangs are sharp
And my eyes are red
Not quite an angel
Or the one that fell
Now choose to join us or go straight to HellHard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!
Hard Rock Hallelujah!Rock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
Demons and angels all in one have arrived
Rock ’n roll angels bring thyn hard rock hallelujah
In God’s creation supernatural highHard Rock Hallelujah!
Metal Israel reports that Rammstein have been linked to a synagogue desecration in Israel:
Report: RAMMSTEIN Linked To Desecration Of Israeli Synagogue - May 4, 2006
Jerusalem Post is reporting that RAMMSTEIN — “the name of a German heavy metal band who some associate with neo-Nazism” — was spray-painted on the floor of the Great Synagogue in Petah Tikva (a city in the west of the Center District of Israel, north-east of Tel Aviv), which was broken into and desecrated on Thursday morning (May 4).
The perpetrators drew swastikas on the walls, on the ark and on Torah Scrolls.
They also wrote “Hitler” on the doors of the synagogue and flung the contents of the ark onto the floor.
They covered every Jewish symbol with spray paint and drew the symbol of a known devil worship cult on the synagogue’s walls.
Detectives took photographs and fingerprints from the scene and police are investigating the incident.
This was not the first time that vandals had desecrated the 100-year-old synagogue.
In July 2005, the government opposed a proposal by Shinui MKs to strip individuals engaged in neo-Nazi activities of their citizenship.
The bill was submitted following reports of non-Jewish Russian-speaking immigrants who have become involved in neo-Nazi activity in Israel.
Earlier that year a Russian-born IDF soldier with a swastika tattoo on his left arm, who admitted to maintaining contacts with neo-Nazi groups abroad, was arrested in Ariel. His mother was also detained for questioning after she spoke of her hatred for Israel and expressed support for neo-Nazis.

I don't think Rammstein are Nazis, although they clearly draw on provocative imagery. However, if you are an angry mixed-up Russian Israeli who wants to do something shocking, then I can see how Rammstein would seem to provide inspiration. Its the old, old problem: how do you create dangerous, intelligent art without morons getting the wrong end of the stick?
