Hi Keith--Thanks for the shout-out! I'm glad you like the blog. I didn't know about yours, so thanks too for directing me here.
This is a hilarious post. Some thoughts:
*perhaps Tourniquet is trying to emulate Dethklok, who in I think the first Metalocalypse episode sang that coffee jingle. Art imitating art, caffeinated?
*Speaking of the brutal cartoon, discovering it a few years ago got me out of a lame autumnal depression -- hurrah for comedy and metal.
*How many metallers actually fall into the loving plants and metal category? The verdict is still out. A few seem responsive, at the very least. And, even if a headbanger subsists on a diet of pure meat, the connection to the plant kingdom is inescapable...so they may not be throwing fists on a mountain in the wilderness but still, there's no escape!
*Don't lose sleep over liking Burzum's music. I still will be belting out GnR tunes and stop dead and roll my eyes at certain lines, for what it's worth.

Great blog, and thanks again for mentioning Phyte Club!

Cheers Katie. Actually Tourniquet predated Dethklok with the coffee!
