Conservatives have spouted a lot of nonsense about Obama over the last few months but I have to say that the following takes things to a whole new level of stupidity. It's from an e-mail from Aviad Cohen - the ridiculously self-important 'Messianic Jew' (ie Christian) formerly known as the rapper 50 Sheckel. Enjoy:
This leads me into the Barack Obama speech which occured after he won the election. I ended up watching it online last night on YouTube.com There were 2 serious red flags (out of many) that I thought I needed to share. I am not sharing this to criticize Obama but to make believers in Yeshua Messiah as well as non-believers aware of certain things they might have overlooked when being "entranced and bewitched" by words of persuasion.
1. Barack Obama stated: "So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility, where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other." If you understand how the God of Israel hates any kind of summoning of spirits (see 1 Samuel 28:3-25) then you will understand the underlying agenda, which is witchcraft. If it's summoning up demonic spirits in Wicca, New Age and other occultic religions, any kind of summoning is of demonic origin. It's satanic manipulation. So he mentions summoning up a new spirit of patriotism, etc, but he could have chosen his words more wisely, especially as someone who claims to follow Jesus and be a Christian. Summoning up spirits is sorcery, which is witchcraft. The God of Israel hates any form of witchcraft. So now many people in the USA voted in a new president who in his speech is inspiring the nation to summon up a new spirit. Many Christians and Jews as well as others voted this person in. There are consequences to this. I did not say there will be, there already are.
2. Barack Obama stated in his speech that Michelle, his wife is his rock and the rock of his family. He has mentioned it before as well. I could not find the quote but you can watch the speech online. But here is what the God of Israel says in His Word. Keep in mind that Obama claims to be a follower of Jesus and states at the end of his speech, God bless you and God bless America, but he also claims in his speech that his rock is his wife, not the God of Israel. So he claims to be a Christian? Let's see if his words match the Word of God.
Psalm 31
31:1 In you, LORD, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness. 31:2 Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me. 31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
God is supposed to lead and guide him, not his wife. But then again, most people don't match his words to the Word of God, especially the Jews and Christians who voted him in.The point of stating this is to let you know what God says and to not be decieved by others who tell who to have another rock rather than Him.
1 Corinthians 10
10:1 Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 10:2 and were all immersed into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food; 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Messiah.
For a president who claims to be a Christian and follower of Jesus, the Messiah (real name Yeshua), how can he replace his TRUE ROCK which is clearly stated in the Scripture to be the God of Israel and Emm-anu-El (God with us) who is Yeshua Messiah and instead swap it out for idolatry, worshipping his wife Michelle Obama and persuading others to worship their wives? These might look like subtle things to you but when you get in front of millions, if not billions of people and profess your wife as your rock and to also inspire people to summon spirits, well all I can say is people need to pray for more discernment, repent and not be seduced by demonic spirits. The Word of God is the FINAL WORD. Obama's words just don't match up to Scripture. And he was supposed to be a Christian? You will know them by their fruit. It also does not help that he claims in interviews which I have seen that he "inhaled" but does not explain that marijuana or any kind of smoking is wrong and harmful to your health. Marijuana is also drug sorcery.
Now it's one thing to be a biblical fundamentalist, but Cohen appears to have taken things one step further - he believes in the absolute literal truth of everything anyone says. It is as though metaphors simply do not exist to him. Breathtaking stuff...
